If your like me and don't want to spend any gold except where you have to for the DMF rep then i have found the best spot to farm outland herbs and the motes at the same time.
In Skettis there are 4 giant tree elites that spawn after 4-6 minutes of being killed and herbed. they drop 5-8 herbs per elite as well as 2-5 motes of life. And all it costs is the parchment to make the BC decks.
